I've met a number of "Rick Bennetts" since I own rickbennett.com.

Doctor Rick Bennett got me great service in the middle of the night when I called my buddy in the Altaview Hospital Emergency Room in the middle of the weekend night. I'd say, "This is Rick Bennett calling for Dr. John Thueson." They'd say, "We'll get him right away, Dr. Bennett." Then my neighbor John Thueson would answer, and I'd tell him I had a grandchild with diarrhea. He knew that I was his neighbor and tell me to come down to the ER and he'd give me some suppositories out of the refrigerator.

The there is the former speaker of the Maine Senate who is running as an independent for governor this year: Rick Bennett. He called and asked how tied I was to owning the URL rickbennett.com. I told him I couldn't lose it. BTW, he is sending me one of his campaign posters. The election bid is a long shot this year, and it must be genetic to guys named Rick Bennett, tilting at windmills.

I ran for congress in Washington State about 48 years ago. Here is my campaign pin.

Finally, there is Preacher Rick Bennett from Mineral Wells, TX. He also called about dislodging me from the dot.com domain. He eventually asked me for some advice to promote his church. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I felt he could strike a blow for true religion with the billboard pictured below. I told him his competition would probably crucify him on a fence in Texas, but he'd probably survive and make quite a name for himself as a modern-day Jesus emulator. Having in been in several bad bicycle wrecks (various collar bones broken five times), I said crucifixion probably wouldn't hurt too bad, as he'd go into shock. Hmmm. I wonder why he never ran the billboard? He said he liked it.

There are athletic coaches and even a New York Times best-selling author, both named Rick Bennett. Stay tuned as I find more of…us.

Implementation suggestions for THE MORGAN DOCTRINE are most welcome. What are the "Got'chas!"? What questions would some future Cyber Privateering Czar have to answer about this in a Senate confirmation hearing?
